“I have had sex with women who work for me on this show.” That’s what David Letterman announced this past Thursday night, much to the shock of his viewing audience. I, too, found his televised statement shocking, and it all boils down to that little three letter word:

            For.

            For changes everything. No longer was this admission of infidelity, but a statement issued by an ego incapable of recognizing abuse of power. Mr. Letterman had sex with women who work for him. If these women are having sex with him, I, personally, would feel a whole lot better if they were working with him, too.
